UPSC Junior Works Managers Recruitment Exam Pattern and Syllabus | UPSC Junior Works Managers Recruitment Selection Procedure

Junior Works Managers (Mechanical) in Ordnance Factory Board
A Written Objective Type Test with multiple choices answer will be conducted and followed by Interview for selection of Candidates to the posts of Junior Works Manager (Mechanical). The written test will be conducted on 9th January, 2011 in the Forenoon Session.

SCHEME AND SYLLABUS FOR THE TEST :
SCHEME : The test will be of two hours’ duration and the medium of the question paper will be English only. The test will be an objective type with multiple choices of answer and will carry a maximum of 100 marks. There will be a penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question. The level of the question paper will be of the BE programme of Indian Universities. SYLLABUS : The syllabus of the Test shall cover following major topics : Statics and Dynamics, Kinematics and Dynamics of Machines, Machine Design, Mechanics of Solids, Production Technology, Manufacturing Science including machine Tools, Metrology, Industrial Engineering, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Material Science, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
