SYLLABUS FOR THE POSTS OF WARDENS IN THE DEPT.OF SOCIAL WELFARE (SPECIFIC PAPER)
I. Maintenance of Pre metric & Post metric Hostels
(i) Functions, Responsibilities and duties of Warden
(ii) Records and Registers maintain by the Wardens to smooth running of the Hostels
(iii) Distinguish between Pre metric and Post metric Hostels
(iv) Mode of selections in Pre metric and Post metric Hostels
(v) Extra Boarding & Lodging charges
(vi) Guidelines of Govt. of India Scholarship
(vii) Controlling authority of warden in the Taluk/District Level
II. Education:-
Educational Administration:-
(i) Constitutional provisions and directive principles for education in the Indian Constitution, measures for fulfilling the Constitutional obligations;
(ii) Role of different agencies (Society, home, school) and their interrelationship in the administration of Education;
(iii) Education in relation to fundamental rights, democracy, secularism and social justice;
(iv) A critical analysis of the aims of Education in relation to
national goals and international understanding.
(v) Impact of socio-economic changes on –
(a) Content and methodology of Education
(b) Educational Administration and Educational Planning
(vi) Schools Community:- Relationship in relation to
quantitative and qualitative development in education
Psychological foundations:-
(i) Child development – Physical, Intellectual, emotional and social
(ii) problems of adolescence : Role of home-school and society in dealing with them;
(iii) Learning
(a) Concept;
(b) Factors affecting learning;
(c) Motivation and measures for creating effective learning situation
(iv) Evaluation – Principles and Procedure
(v) The Backward child diagnosis and remedial treatment
(vi) The gifted child-identification and enrichment programmes.
Basic Computer Knowledge:-
(i) Introduction to Computer
Disk Drives, Hardware, Installation of Hardware and Software’s Programming, Languages, Operating System. DOS, Windows, XP, MS Office, Working with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point. Knowledge of Internet, Sending mails, Downloads, Searching etc. Networking Knowledge of LAN, WAN, Maintenance of Files, Database & Hardware Components
