Acharya Nagarjuna University Results 2011 : Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) has announced the Degree I & II Year Supplementary Results 2011. ANU Degree 1st/2nd Year Examination was held in July 2011.
The name, Nagarjuna University is quite significant in that the great Buddhist preceptor and Philosopher Acharya Nagarjuna founded a University on the banks of river Krishna some centuries ago and made it a great centre of learning, attracting a large number of teachers and students form distant parts of the world. The University was established by Act 43 of 1976 of A.P. State Legislature and Governed by Act 4 of 1991 covering 6 Universities of the State.

ANU & ANUCDE Results
The present Acharya Nagarjuna University is not very far from the haloed spot, as it derives its moral and intellectual sustenance from Acharya Nagarjuna in which context the University has been renamed Acharya Nagarjuna University through the A.P. Universities (Amendment) Ordinance, 2004, promulgated by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
The aspirations of the southern coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh to pursue Post-Graduate education nearer their homes resulted in the establishment of Acharya Nagarjuna University. In 1976, Andhra University started a Post-Graduate Centre in Nallapadu, Guntur Dt., Andhra Pradesh, as an Extension Center to cater to the needs of higher education of the people of this region. It is in the fitness of things that a University should grow from this Center to fulfill the desire of the people of this belt. Accordingly, Nagarjuna University came into being in August 1976.

ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited to the M.Phil. Programme in Social Work offered at the School of Gandhian Thought and Development Studies, for the academic year 2010-2011.
Eligibility : M.A. Social Work/MSW either generic or with any field of specialization with not less than 55% marks. Admission to the course will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance test and interview in the proportion 100:40:10.
Application forms can be downloaded from the Website www.mguniversity.edu. Application forms are not available at any other source.
Candidates should remit the REGISTRATION fee of Rs. 400/- (Rupees Four Hundred Only) at the University CASH COUNTER/ FRIENDS JANASEVANAKENDRAM or by way of D.D. drawn in favour of theFINANCE OFFICER, MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY, PAYABLE AT SBT M.G. UNIVERSITY CAMPUS BRANCH (Code No. 669), P.D. HILLS P.O., KOTTAYAM. Full postal address of the applicant, with Pin code, is to be entered on the reverse side of the DD in block letters. SC/ST candidates need pay only Rs.200/- as the registration fee.
Candidates awaiting final year results of qualifying examination can also apply, provided they shall produce mark list of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
Reservation, relaxation in minimum marks based on income, caste, etc., will be allowed according to the rules of the University.
Only the courses and their equivalents approved by the Mahatma Gandhi University shall be reckoned as eligible qualification.
The student intake for the course is 5 including one FIP candidate. The course is conducted under the Credit and Semester system.
Last date for receipt of filled up application forms along with the Registration fee is extended. For further details contact the office of the School of Gandhian Thought and Development Studies (Tel: 0481-2731039) or visit the website www.mguniversity.edu.
Candidates who have already submitted their application as per the earlier notification need not apply again.
